The Little Creek Ridge WMA (Bookcliffs Roadless Area) is located about 80 miles south of Vernal, Utah in Grand County, Utah. Fences in the Little Creek WMA are critical to protecting the 50,000 acre SITLA/UDWR block of land from livestock trespass. Over time, the fences deteriorate and need maintenance. The remote location of these fences requires stockpiling materials at each fence location with a helicopter. These materials can be used over the next 5-10 years as maintenance needs arise.
WCF donated $5,000.00 to the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources this weekend. This money will go toward a big habitat project that the DWR will be doing at the Starvation Reservoir. Thanks so much to all of our amazing supporters that make this possible.
Coming Soon. WCF will be the major sponsor of the new shooting range that will be built out on the Roosevelt City property SouthEast of town. This is going to be awesome to have in our community. Roosevelt City applied for a grant through the DWR and that has been approved and now we are just waiting for there match funds to be allocated and then construction will be underway. The grant that was applied for is a 75% match to the 25% money raised for the project. This would give Roosevelt a top notch shooting range, 1000 yard range, 100 to 200 yard range, cowboy village, trap and pistols ranges. More info coming soon.
